Kathlyn Laraway
About
Kathlyn represents clients in all areas of family law from the needs of a couple entering a new relationship to the legal and financial matters involved in the dissolution of a relationship. In addition to being proficient in the ever-changing laws and policies involving family law, Kathlyn believes that her effectiveness stems from client communication and substantial experience in the Courtroom. Kathlyn has assisted families through difficult transitions, including high conflict custody proceedings, complicated marital estate divisions, child support disputes, common law marriage disputes, and partition actions. Kathlyn has received numerous awards including being selected by her peers as a Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2018.
Using both a strategic and pragmatic approach, Kathlyn aims to minimize risk while working toward acceptable resolutions whether that be through litigation or alternative dispute resolution. Kathlyn understands that sometimes the best outcomes for her clients are obtained through litigation and is completely comfortable in the courtroom advocating for her client’s best interests. In addition to family law litigation, Kathlyn is a trained and experienced mediator and provides dispute resolution services across the Denver Metro area. Having this training and experience furthers her ability to help individuals navigate through the frequently turbulent waters surrounding the dissolution of their marriage and change in their family dynamic.
Kathlyn resides in Denver with her husband, two children, and two fur-children. During her free time Kathlyn enjoys spending time with her family out and about in Colorado and traveling as much as possible. A fun fact about Kathlyn is that she and her husband have traveled to all 50 states.

"Fought hard for me"I had a very positive experience with the team at SBFL, and with Mrs. Laraway and Mrs. Damrow in particular. From the beginning, my worry was that I was walking into the divorce process absolutely clueless of any of my blindspots. I was scared of being taken advantage of because my former partner who handled 80%+ of our finances. I was worried for my future and that of our child. The SBFL team made me feel reassured, not only by their extensive experience with divorce and separations, but also with their attention to detail, and their technical knowledge. But most of all their empathy made the difference. They listened to my numerous questions, they understood where I was coming from, and they didn't let me make further mistakes. And of course when it came to representing me, they were stellar.
